Interviews - Wuforever.com Conducted Interviews

How did you get interested in hip-hop music?

Basically it's an instrument. After my generation came Rza and dirty they were more into it that's how I got into it sittin in my grandmother house listening to them all day long. Like throwing mud on the wall some slip off but you keep throwing it on the wall it turns to mud. I got use to it. Hip-hop was kept being thrown to me so it stuck. That was back in the day.

Will you have a part on 8 diagrams or OBCLII albums?

I probably do what I do I just go on and bless the track with that wisdom and knowledge. I'm the man with the science. It all depends. If I feel it I'll get on it. If I feel it, I feel it If I don't I don't.

How did you came up with the title "visions of 10th Chamber"?

Well 10 is justice that's knowledge Psypha the Mathematics. Popa Wu do analyse the execution once you get to my chamber. I was always champion without the pony. So I have the 10th chamber Truth or majestic. Before you get to Rza you got to go through my chamber pass my chamber. Can't go around me to my brother. Come through right or come through wrong you will be executed by the sword.

There were at least 3 Different versions of Visions of the 10th Chamber album circling internet around 7 years ago. Can you tell us if there were officially released different versions of the cd or there was just one real version and the rest were bootlegs created by fans?

There was only one version. Fans took it went wild with it and did what they wanted with it.

Do you have some unreleased songs you plan to release from the 10th Chamber period?

Nah, that was then and this is now. I'm dealing with Dlah, Hellkeydoe album , Bipolar mix and 10th Chamber.

What are some of your favorite books?

AJ Risen Section Rach Volume 1,2,3,4 and 5, Superman to man, Lumanotty, Messege to The Black Man. A lot of them. I deal with science. If it got no science to it it's not interesting.

Tell us a little of your upcoming book?

"Journey Of Womb". When I was going through the womb of my mother, that journey I visualized. I seen hell before I got into it(hell). That journey I took I what to cheer. When I say journey to the womb its just going through womb of my mother now, now I'm going through the womb of hell. Planet earth is hell taken everything within now. That journey I'm taken now I want to share with everybody.

What is your view on hip-hop nowadays?

It's all watered down. They took it and put it in dj's hands judging music now. Now I don't have anything on dj's . Dj's are very important. I don't know what to call it but it ain't hip hop.

Where do you see wu in next 5 years?

The same way you see WU right now but at a higher form. It doesn't even stop. There's no beginning or end to this cause we got children coming into it. Now we got Just got his little son. He got Killa Son, I got my son doing his thing. In 5 years it will start being our babies in control.

Who was Uncle Pete? You did an intro song: "Wu-Revolution" on Wu-tang Forever album with him.

That's my mothers brother. That's who Uncle Pete is. That's Ol Dirty Uncle Pete. My mothers the oldest, Uncle Pete then Ol'Dirty's mom and that's my Aunt Cherry. We all one family. That's when Uncle Pete comes in.

Do you play chess?

Yeah.

What music do you enjoy listening to now?

Well you know my main man. Shout out to Snoop Dog. I love him to death. He's real. Snoop is for real.

How did you meet Hellkeydoe? Can you tell the fans what project you are working on with hellkeydoe now?

It was strange. It came out of nowhere. I was on myspace talking to this brother asking me if I was Popa wu (you know how it is). This brother was from Ohio. He told me the story of how he wanted to come here (NY) and get his shit right. I said brother take your time and all that . He gave me a call one time and said he's in Brooklyn. I said Brooklyn? and he was right down the block from me. Brother Dlah I said come and see me. He told me about this brother who was perpetrating wutang and I told others about that. All you listeners listen to this, don't perpetrate wutang. You can get along fine with us, we can help you, do it the right way not the wrong way. He also told me about how this person was taken money from his profits. I listened to him and I thought so much in the situation of the sign to the hellkeydoe album. It applied to my mathematics. That's islam to me that attract me to it. Its been 10 years. 10 is justice Its about time for the 10th chamber to rise again. He said he gots something, the future chamber. Dam the 10th chamber is justice that's the future chambers and its futurising. We coming with dictations and elements. This is going to be totally different from the songs of the first album cause it futurises with more knowledge. When that gets finished its going to bring hip hop back. It's some scene on that.

What other projects you have coming up?

I'm working on my son. He just got a distribution deal with Koch Records. We trying to work that out, Freemurda. I was working with others people but I put them on hold. I'm trying to get my son started. Get him right you know.

Any last words of wisdom for the fans?

Keep your head up and do the right thing will work for you. Don't rush it. Take one day at a time. Be who you say you is. Do what you got to do and you will get along fine with the world. Love who love you and keep everything right. 100 percent in yourself. Islam "freedom or Death".
