Consciouz fear - Bamboozeled

How long have you been rapping and what or who influenced you to pick up the microphone and start writing?

(ConsciouzFEAR:): I've been spitting or singing all my life. I grew up in an environment that loved music. My older brother and his hip-hop gangsta rap, mixed with my dad’s conscious, jazz music to my mom’s love story, female empowerment music. I love music and everything about it influenced me the negative and positive of it all.

When did you get your first break and was there anyone person who helped along with your music career?

(ConsciouzFEAR:): I have not gotten my big break yet. I still continue anyways with my Youths, family and most of all the fans motivating me with their words which can't be a lie because they all say the same thing. They feel me and my words..so THANKS

Your producer, Zoc, is in Japan. How did you meet him? What is it like working with him? Is the distance a problem?

(ConsciouzFEAR:): I have many producers. I met Zoc, just I met how I met you, lol. (on myspace). I love Zoc, for real, because he got great energy flowin’. The distance is no problem. He produced track #22 on "Bloody Birdz" album and will be doing production on the "Fear Factor" cd.

In terms of the lack of females out there in hip-hip right now, what are you views on that?

(ConsciouzFEAR:): Now I see everybody is spitting - from youths, men, to females. There are a lot of females spitting now and that is good for some. I guess most I run into are not talking about sh*t or showing some ass to get that pass. They say (you gotta) keep things in balance. It's a rare few of us that care about reality and things worsen. And no, I have NO COMPETITION. The only competition I have is to be as strong as I can be! That's enough competition for me.

What are your favorite tracks on the “Bloody Birdz” album ?

(ConsciouzFEAR:): My favorite tracks are #4, #12, #15, and # 17. And, overall the whole album, I am pleased with the work, but everything can always be better and...IT IS.

I noticed your lyrics often don’t rhyme, yet they still sound great. How would you describe your sound/style?

(ConsciouzFEAR:): A lot of people say that. The best way I can describe that, is, I say what I say ,when I say it how I want to say it whether it rhymes or sounds like I’m talking to you.. you heard me!

Hellkeydoe album was sold in Japan. How important is reaching your markets beyond America?

(ConsciouzFEAR:): It is very important we reach as many as possible. Worldwide, we got a response quick from the U.K. , Japan, Thailand to Jamaica and that’s just from myspace!

How would you compare US to Hip-Hop fans overseas?

(ConsciouzFEAR:): I never been overseas, but from what I see, these oversea emcees I've built with, love sum good ol’ hip-hop. It’s versatile! They support music, period, of all kind but yes, they got strong love.

How has the "Bloody Birdz" album doing since the release? If you could go back in time, would you have done anything differently?

(ConsciouzFEAR:): Great! It sells just fine! / No, I wouldn't change anything; just learn and move on. Either it gets better or worse -- you know.

What kind of sound and themes can we expect from your upcoming album, Fear Factor?

(ConsciouzFEAR:): “FEAR FACTOR” is the change. You can expect 44 tracks double disc. Since I build with all walks of life the first disc will be me, of course, my youths, producers and emcees that choose not to use certain words. Plus, I want the babies to be able to listen and then give the other cd to mommy or daddy. lol. The second cd will be mostly me speaking on my music career and getting some things off my chest and the emcees that want to use the words they choose to get off their chest.

Does the album name have to do with the TV show 'Fear Factor' or there is another meaning?

(ConsciouzFEAR:): Well yes, kinda. It’s a SHOW I use to like watching . The sh*t’s stupid...Something stupid to me sparked something in me. It’s been prolonged and I am not mad about that it allowed me to do some growing, mentally and lyrically.

A tougher question… forget Mainstream rap… What do you think Underground Hip Hop Scene is lacking these days?

(ConsciouzFEAR:): REALNESS

What would you are the most popular track that you have released to date?

(ConsciouzFEAR:): My favorite tracks were "Calling the shots" and "Bloody Birdz" off the BLOODYBIRDZ ALBUM. The bi-polar album everybody liked all the tracks I was on unless they were just lying to themselves. LOL.

Can you tell us more on themes you will explore in the Fear Factor album. The title and any guests?

(ConsciouzFEAR:): So far, I am meeting people every day. So who knows I can tell you for sure my Future Chamber family D.L.A.H. will do some production and all the arrangements you'll know when I hit you with that track list.

How did you guys met with Dlah and other Hellkeydoe members?

(ConsciouzFEAR:): HellKeyDoe is only D.L.A.H. AND Consciouz Fear. I met Dlah in 2001 and been working with him thru all the different chambers. We built FUTURE CHAMBER from the ground, starting with emcees who got ripped off by the same dude: Shahkim (Lord Subliminal), Deadly Strangha, Lu-Struggz, Raaddarr Van.

How did you meet Popa Wu?

(ConsciouzFEAR:): I met him when I came to New York to record for the 10th Chamber Album, D.L.A.H. took me to meet him.. He is a VERY WISE MAN.

I just saw that value of a Canadian dollar is now equal to value of US dollar. How do you feel about the future of US economy after George bush leaves? Is there hope it will improve? What would you (or needs to) change? What is your opinion?

(ConsciouzFEAR:): George messed everything up and it affects us all. As far as the dollar I the economy they expose themselves and I’m too.

With so many rappers in the game how are you planning to make noise and get noticed?

(ConsciouzFEAR:): I didn't plan this, it took me a minute to figure just how righteous and good of a mind I been blessed with. Everything that has taken place so far, has come to me because I am blessed. I have been invited to perform places with other artist on some cat chase, the tail type sh*t .I get NOTICED TRUST Me!!

Got a last message for the fans on wuforever.com?

(ConsciouzFEAR:): The support means the most to me. It gives me energy to share with others even when those come on that fake shit that’s motivating to me too so you should probably STOP!! LOL PEACE LOVE NOHATE ConsciouzFEAR
