Q: You rap a lot about religion and
history in your music and was curious to know what your influences were to rap
about these two subjects which a lot of rappers don't do?
It just comes to me that way to life: by living and studying.
Q:
What is your religion?
I don't have
(no relying on) one. I don't look for any to save the soul; it's only what's in
the soul.
Q:
What was the first thing that made you want to get out there and rap?
The music and the impact it had on me.
Seeing all my friends change their names, form crews, dancing/ Mc-ing.
Q:
How long you been involved
with Wu-tang....like, who was the first member you got to know?
I was involved
from the beginning! Everybody already knew how I came in. The first cat I met
was Ghost in the studio.
Q:
I read you went and gave lecture at
various synagogues around US. Could you tell us more about your travels?
Yes, I been to Rome, Israel. From
the travels, I learned a lot. Next, I want to go to Egypt & Turkey.
Q: What are the favorite tracks you made?
I really liked all of them on the Offering Album. To me it's up to different people, I guess. I like ("Osirus eyes") the intro song, with my son Zariya. He comes off a lot on it. I'm not going to give it all away.
Q: Lots of people say that hip hop today is not what it was like 10 - 15 years ago and that it has undergone a dramatic change. What are your thoughts on this?
It did change. I don't really have a comment on their hip-hop; it's just me (my hip-hop).
Q:
What kind of process do you go through before you make a song?
I just stare
at the pad, until it comes to me.
Q:
What's up with Sunz of Man right now and how is your relationship with other
Wu-tang members?
The relationship with Sunz of Man right
now is good, I guess. I saw Prodigal Sunn with the RZA in LA last
month. We did a show together so that was peace. Hell Razah and I are always
together. We are working on solos. Blackmarket Maccabeez are working with
Timbo, who is the only one that I don't see to much of. Who I really want to see
is 60 sec. I love that dude. I am going to get all the Sunz back for
another album. Watch me, if everybody is with it, which they should be,
everybody put out their solo albums, not just Priest... so that's cool ( I
just need a hook from 60) Word!

Q: What's happening next in your career?
Next in my career I want to work and develop artist - the next phenomenon in hip-hop. Word! Hell Razah is going to take that in a few, and then you got flames! I just have the ear now to put music together & sounds like the black market part is going to the best shit in the world next to Maccabeez!
Q: I think I read somewhere that the
original version of BIBLE was lost and you had to rewrite it with different
lyrics and everything...can you elaborate on that, if that rumor is true?
Yes, this is
true. I was mad. It was lost in RZA's lab somewhere. We had to
do the whole thing over. I think during a flood in RZA's old house, I don't
know, but that's what I heard. The beat was changed a little, but
the second verse was changed a lot.
Q: Do you have any plans to continue the group "The Four Horsemen" or is the Horsmn Project EP" all fans are bound to see?
Yes, The Horsemen are
going to be on the album and we are going to have that project.
Q: When is "The Offering" coming out and what will it sound like?
It is coming in '06.
The Offering is all Priest, that Killah Priest shit. There are so many, its just
so many songs that makes me mad that I can't put everything on it, but
it's the hidden things on this album that you are going to have to watch for.
Don't just listen, watch what I do for hip-hop real quick!
Q:
What is your main goal in
hip-hop? Is there a message you want to spread?
Peace! what
ever you get. I want to make really good music - that's all!
