What I love to do, on a long commute to work is to take out a shrink wrapped cd and listen to it like reading a novel from the cover to the very last page. I do not skip any tracks, no pauses, and try to keep an open mind as possible. I do not care about the language of the album or the style, my main desire is to keep an open mind and "step into the music".

When listening to Jehuriko new album I had such an experience or may I say an adventure. It all started when I asked various artists to submit tracks for Wuforever.com Presents: Deadly Dosage Compilation. After hearing their track: Time Traveler (Feat. lady binx) I felt this uniqueness. Track was very different. It reminded me a bit of Cypress Hill and had this energy and wonderful production.
I ended up selecting it for Deadly Dosage Compilation. That was in 2006-2007.  Three years have passed and Jehuniko's sound, lyrics, and production got even better! Do not expect to find booty shaking club hip-hop songs or songs that will make you drowsy while driving. This is a whole new experience.
Each song is totally different and yet they all are united with great skits and very good arrangement of tracks on the cd.

The cd starts with eye-opener track "Uphold the Code" to boost your day. The second track is also a sharp medley that wakes you up supercharges your day like a cold shower after a night of sleep. Going further the energy continues. There are various themes taht are covered through the album. For example on track 9, he deducates a song to his daughter.. and if you have a child you will appreciate it even more. You get 15 tracks that you will enjoy listening to over and over again.

Beats and style of each song is totally unpredicatable... with very good production. RZA should keep his ears open and get to work with Jehuniko.  It is latin rap: Spanish and English Hip-Hop mixed together. It does have Immortal Technique feel and a bit of Wu-Tang influence and sound. Also, Jehuniko's voice reminds me of Lars from Metallica, but this is hip-hop.

Even the cover is also unique. You have tracklisting appearing on the inside and it has a great design -certainly a collective item.

With my limited Spanish I learned years ago in high school I had no trouble understanding the songs.  My favorite track is Gracias al Creador con Huba (feat. Huba & Anura). This beat is "tattoo'ed" in my head... very catchy song and amazing performance.
Overall this is an amazing album with every song flowing really well, lyrically sharp, and if you like revolutionary songs this is definately the album for your ears!  So grab a good drink, preview and get yourself a copy of Jehuniko's latest album at cd baby (

My only desire is for Jehuniko to make another album after this... I am always hungry for more pure hip-hop. Maybe I should sell my radio on ebay... because after album like this, it is just collecting dust.
